Here at Pioneer Dachshunds, we believe that the best things in life come in long, low packages - and we're built our entire world around providing it.  Nestled on a cozy homestead in Flamborough, Ontario, our home is equal part family house and dachshund headquarters, where smooth and long coated sausages rule the couch, claim the sunny spots, and supervise everything that we do.

We're a small, home-based breeding program - and we mean that in the best possible way.  Our dogs are not in a kennel somewhere out back.  They're here - underfoot in the kitchen, curled up on laps, coworking in our offices, and thoroughly conviced they're in charge.  Every puppy born here is raised in that same environement: warm, busy, fully of everyday sounds and real family life.  By the time they head home, they already know what a vacuum cleaner sounds like, what a kid's laugh feels like, and that the best place to be is where the people are.

Temperament is everything to us.  We breed dogs that are joyful, confident, and genuinely easy to love.  The kind that fit into family life like they were always meant to be there.  Our pairings are always intentional, always health-informed, and always made with the puppy's future family in mind.  We produce a small number of litters each year, because doing this right matters more than doing it often.
